Deep Cleaning the Bathroom

Roll up your sleeves; it's time to get dirty by cleaning up.

The bathroom. A place many prefer not to discuss. Nevertheless, it is a room that gets a lot of use and deserves our proper attention. After all, a relaxing bath wouldn't be so serene if there was grime against your shoulders. Since you rely on your bathroom to keep your body clean, it's fair to say that it should be the most immaculate room in your house. Due to water, steam, and added grime, your space can quickly become home to bacteria, fungus, and unwanted odours. It is recommended that you deep-clean your area at least every two weeks, depending on how often you wipe down your shower, sweep the floor, or disinfect faucets. With that being said, toilets, sinks, and other high-traffic areas should be cleaned weekly. To lighten the load, there are little things you can do daily to make for a cleaner space:

  • wipe up any spills or splatters on the mirror,

  • keep the sink and countertops dry, and

  • disinfect the toilet seat, and faucet handles every two to three days.

In this week's video, I spent several hours cleaning the bathroom. From the toilet bowl to the backsplash of the counter, I polish every inch of space until it gleams. Watch the video for inspiration when tackling those less pleasant areas and continue reading for a full checklist and shopping list.

The Shopping List

Before you begin your household chores make sure you are prepared by checking to see if you have everything on the list below, or else, stop by your local superstore and pick up the following items:

The Checklist

Now that you have the necessities, there is no time to waste! So, start tackling the workload.

Hopefully, this article provides helpful advice and motivation! As exhausting and tiresome cleaning may be, there is something so relaxing about the first shower had after a deep-cleansing. Please comment if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help!

Regards,

Sara
